Our day started very loudly, by Mr. Ely’s heavy metal rock music. Breakfast was the same, with cereal and bagels. Around 9 o’clock in the morning, we headed out for work.
Today we worked on a small family’s house. The house was occupied by a very elderly woman who lived with one of her sons. The house was way out in the middle of nowhere. We even had to drive on a gravel road to get there!! We painted the outside of the house until it began to storm. So, we painted the ceiling inside the entire house. After we finished painting, we came back to the DDC and played a cornhole tournament. It’s still lacking a champion. So far, we are still alive in the tournament. We ate dinner following the games of cornhole, which was tacos in a bag. Between many intense games of cornhole, everyone came inside and began the team challenges. The challenge tonight was Minute to Win It. It consisted of 6 challenges, 5 of which were individual, and the last challenge being a team puzzle challenge. Blue team ended up winning overall, but we came in second , easily winning the puzzle challenge. The Orange team brought back fidget spinners for everyone, since they helped clean the Gate City Thrift Store. By the way, the Purple Team's poster was chosen as the winner by referee JP!! That's 1 point for the Purple Team!!
We are excited for tomorrow to come, since it is our break day.
