The day started when heavy metal music was turned on by Mr. Ely. It was 7:30 a.m. and it woke us up. We got out of our top-secret bunkers. We stumbled to breakfast and ate it. That was the time that we figured out that we would be preparing boxes of food for citizens in Dungannon. We discovered the ultra rare s’mores flavored marshmallows. People receiving these boxes will have chips ahoy for DDDDDDDDDAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYSSSSSSSSSSSSSS (or 12 months.) On a serious note though, Travis and his mom Jeanie who run the community center gather donations of food, and every month people come and pick up food for free. After we packed 65 boxes and helped organize a few storage areas in the community center the other teams arrived back at the community center and we started our afternoon team challenges.
The cornhole tournament official started today and it will most likely continue over the next couple days. Pace and Noah choked (not literally) in cornhole when we blew a 20-7 lead in the national cornhole quarter finals. Pace’s attitude changed as we tackled and won the team challenge of the day. The clutchness of Isabella Lee and Catherine Horner when they took home the dub in the minute to win it challenge. It was awesome! Will Neuner also gave us a start for our victory when he guessed the combined ages of all the chaperones. Now we are sitting here writing to you after this mixed emotion day. Tomorrow is our free day and I think we need it. Signing out from Dunganon VA where the population is less than the amount of kidz in the Collegiate Middle School.
Noah- Hi Mom and Dad and Caleb and Lucas. I am having fun and I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
Pace- Hi Mom, Dad, and Malcolmbe! Just to let you know I was not moody today. When we won our first point is was the best thing ever! Talk to you tommoorooowww
Isabella- Hi Mom, Dad, and Nathan! Dungannon has been so fun! I’ve really enjoyed today’s activities too! I miss you all; I’ll call you tomorrow! Love you all!
Catherine- Team Blue is carrying our Minute to Win it momentum to future victories, etc. Life is pretty good right now. Each day I spend here, the importance of family and not depending on “things” becomes clearer to me. Love you guys so much!
Will- Tomorrow is our day off of work. We’re going to hike to the Devil’s Bathtub. Love you guys so much!
